IN-PERSON EVENT
Visit to Saatchi Gallery's Exhibition Burtynsky: Extraction / Abstraction with art workshop to follow
Monday 11th March, 11am to 1pm
Duke of York's HQ, King's Road, London, SW3 4RY
Come and join us on this visit to Saatchi Gallery for a guided tour of the exhibition Burtynsky: Extraction / Abstraction followed by an art workshop.
This exhibition marks the largest ever mounted in the 40+ year career of world-renowned photographic artist, Edward Burtynsky, who has dedicated his practice to bearing witness to the impact of human industry on the planet.
After the guided tour, we'll participate in a marbling workshop. This will involve using inks on the surface of water and experimenting with different techniques of marbling. Ultimately inspired by the abstraction found in Burtynsky's photography.
